Overview

Human pulmonary organoids are emerging as important tools in respiratory research for modeling both the airway and alveolar regions of the lung. Bring these tools and their best practices to your lab by registering for this three-day, part-time course consisting of live-streamed, interactive lectures and laboratory demonstrations. Guided by ºÚÁϳԹÏ’ in-house pulmonary organoid experts, you will learn how to discern which airway culture system is best for your applications as well as gain the skills to successfully build it yourself.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the historical context of human pulmonary organoid development
  • Describe the progenitors of the pulmonary epithelium
  • Understand the functional capabilities of the PneumaCultâ„¢ portfolio
  • Discern the benefits and drawbacks of air-liquid interface (ALI) culture systems, organoids, and animal models
  • Understand the protocols for expanding and differentiating airway cells at the ALI, growing airway organoids in apical-in and apical-out orientations, and generation of alveolar organoids
  • Identify key readouts and applications of ALI culture and alveolar organoids
  • Choose the correct airway culture system for your application
  • Appreciate the expected morphology and marker expression of airway cultures at the ALI, airway organoids, and alveolar organoids

As part of the course, you will receive:

  • An electronic copy of the course book
  • Certificates of course completion from ºÚÁϳԹÏ, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) UK and PACE
  • Post-training support from the trainers and ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s Scientific Support team

Space is limited, please apply early for the best chance of securing a seat for your desired date. Registration closes one week before the course date.
