Dr. Jason Spence shares his insights on the derivation of gastrointestinal organoids from hPSCs
In this episode of ϳԹ's Organoids Podcast, Jenna Moccia sits down with Dr. Jason Spence of the University of Michigan. During his post-doctoral fellowship under Dr. James Wells, Dr. Spence helped to pioneer the differentiation of endodermal-derived organoids from hPSCs. Since moving on to start his own lab in 2011, Dr. Spence's group focuses on the generation of organoids from endodermal tissues and their use to study development and function.
In this episode of ϳԹ's Organiods Podcast we ask Dr. Spence:
- How did you get started with Organoids?
- What obstacles do organoids face for greater adoption?
- What are you currently working on?
- What will be the biggest impact of organoid models?
